2011 Mercedes-Benz CLS – Click above for high-res image gallery

Underneath that sparse camouflage is the all-new 2011 Mercedes-Benz CLS, but you'd be forgiven for thinking that the update is only skin deep.

As the current CLS is based off the older E-Class platform (W211), the 2011 model is set to swap to the updated architecture (W212) and gain a few new stylistic updates inspired by its siblings. Although the coupe-like roofline will remain, the rear fenders will gain the blisters originally seen on the new E, along with the upright grille pulled from the SLS and more angular head- and taillamps.

Power is likely to be provided by Mercedes' new range of direct injected and turbocharged engines, available in both six- and eight-cylinder configurations and topping out in the mid-400 horsepower range. There's talk of a CLS 400 BlueHybrid variant and within a year of its debut – likely at the Paris Motor Show this fall – we can expect a 5.5-liter twin-turbo'd AMG version.

Bugatti Veyron 16.4 SuperSport photo

Bugatti Veyron SuperSport priced at $2.4 million

bugatti veyron 16.4 supersport priced at 2.4 million
A few weeks ago, rumors started flying about a SuperSport version for the Bugatti Veyron. Those rumors turned out to be true as the company officially confirmed the model shortly thereafter. Now it seems we will be getting fast and ready information concerning the new SuperSport with the vehicle’s price being announced.
While everyone expected the Bugatti to be priced at $2 million, the car in fact will be priced at €1,950,000 ($2.4 million at the current exchange rates). The official debut will be made in August at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. This will be the final Veyron edition before going out of production.

The future Veyron SuperSport will be powered by the same 8.0-liter W16 quad-turbocharged engine tuned to deliver a total of 1200 HP. With a weight reduction of 100 kilos, the supercar will sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 2.2 seconds and will be able to hit a top speed of 264 mph.
It will get a new front, roof, and rear and will use light materials such as carbon fiber and aluminum. There will only be 30 units built.

Top 10 Most Expensive Cars In The World 2009-2010

What is the most expensive car in the world? The 1931 Bugatti Royale Kellner Coupe was sold for $8,700,000 in 1987. However, that car and many alike will not be included in this list because it is not available on the market today. It is hard to imagine someone would actually spend 8 million dollars on a car instead of using it for something more productive. However, if you have the money and the opportunity, you will definitely spend a small fraction of it to place a few of these super cars in your garage. Here are the 10 most expensive production cars on the market.
1. Bugatti Veyron $1,700,000. This is by far the most expensive street legal car available on the market today. It is the fastest accelerating car reaching 0-60 in 2.6 seconds. It claims to be the fastest car with a top speed of 253 mph+. However, the title for the fastest car goes to the SSC Ultimate Aero which exceed 253 mph pushing this car to 2nd place for the fastest car.

2. Lamborghini Reventon $1,600,000. The most powerful and the most expensive Lamborghini ever built is the second on the list. It takes 3.3 seconds to reach 60 mph and it has a top speed of 211 mph. Its rarity (limited to 20) and slick design are the reasons why it is so expensive and costly to own.

3. McLaren F1 $970,000. In 1994, the McLaren F1 was the fastest and most expensive car. Even though it was built 15 years ago, it has an unbelievable  top speed of 240 mph and reaching 60 mph in 3.2 seconds. Even as of today, the McLaren F1 is still top on the list and it outperformed many other super cars.

Don't let the price tag fool you, the 6th most expensive car is actually the fastest street legal car in the world with a top speed of 257 mph+ and reaching 0-60 in 2.7 seconds. This baby cost nearly half as much as the Bugatti Veyron, yet has enough power to top the most expensive car in a speed race. It is estimated that only 25 of this exact model will ever be produced.

BMW 1-Series

Being the only rear-wheel drive compact saloon, the BMW 1-Series enjoys a special status. At the same time, the 1-Series also boasts what is a unique design in this class, which still, however, leaves ample scope for adding a sporty touch or two. To this end, Mattig's “World of Tuning” offers a range of body-styling elements and modifications to the suspension in addition to numerous wheel/tyre combinations.
Mattig modifies the front end by fitting a new GRP front spoiler for 249 euros and, by doing this, also reduces the lift. Mattig adorns the sides with side sills for 229 euros a pair, which make the car look closer to the ground. The counterpart to the front spoiler is the matching rear apron from RIM for a price of 249 euros. Drivers who then opt for one of Mattig’s roof spoiler variants (from 199 euros) can add the finishing touch to the aerodynamic tuning of their 1-series, whilst also lending their vehicles enhanced directional stability at high speeds. To top things off, 1-Series owners can also choose to fit the boot lid attachment for 99 euros.
A powerful sound is produced by the sporty 4-pipe system (from 939 euros), whose two double tailpipes fit exactly into the recesses of the Mattig rear apron attachment, where they go to create a harmoniously designed rear end.

What would visual and acoustic tuning be without the sporty ride to match? To enable the 1-Series to corner with even greater agility, Mattig offers a range of spring and suspension kits (from 160 euros) - an indispensable addition for all those drivers who are not just content with creating a stylish appearance.
In addition, Mattig also supplies a large number of wheel/tyre combinations for the 1 Series. The 8.5 x 19 Brock B13 wheel rim in SLC chrome featured in the illustration (see CD) can be yours for just 329 euros each.

AC Schnitzer BMW ACS1
With the launch of the new 1-series, BMW has entered the strongly contested "compact class" vehicle category for the first time, and presents a vehicle that has jumped to the top of its class even before sales begin. This posed an even greater challenge to the AC Schnitzer engineers: to develop a special accessories range which takes the "pleasure principle" to an even higher level.
For the 1.8d and the 2.0d versions of the BMW 1-series, AC Schnitzer diesel performance upgrades are already in development, taking the power - depending on engine model - up by around 25 - 30 HP. Despite the stronger power plant, the high running comfort, moderate fuel consumption and excellent stability of course remain unchanged.
With or without the performance upgrade, we recommend our newly developed AC Schnitzer sports rear silencer of V2A special steel with chromed Racing tailpipe trim which ensures improved gas flow.
Faster and more precise gear changes increase the adrenaline surge and improve vehicle acceleration. So we have adapted the AC Schnitzer Short Shift for the BMW 1-series with manual transmission.
There are already a wealth of AC Schnitzer alloys and racing rims available for the BMW
1 series in Type II, Type III and Type IV designs.
As well as various combinations in 17" and 18", the 1-series - known internally as E87 - can be fitted with 19" alloy or racing rims which take tyres of size 235/35 R 19 all round. This modification alone perceptibly improves the driving dynamics. AC Schnitzer recommends high performance tyres from Continental and Michelin.
In addition, the most stylish wheel design is the avant-garde AC Schnitzer Type IV 5-spoke wheel with its star-shaped wheel centre running out pentagonally and single dish per spoke, which is an excellent match for the modern design of the 1-series. Chrome elements can be inserted optionally in the dishes, setting extra highlights.
The driving behaviour of the 1 series becomes even safer and more dynamic with the
AC Schnitzer sports suspension, which is currently undergoing tests on public roads and on the North Loop of the Nürburgring.
As well as lowering by 30 mm - already available - the suspension concept is completed by a Racing Aluminium strut brace for the front axle and a special antiroll bar kit.
The high technical standards we apply to our products are also evident in the bodywork of the AC Schnitzer ACS1. It was a particular challenge to pick up the new styling language of the BMW 1 series, continue and subtly enhance the lines without appearing obtrusive.
The result is a tailor-made kit for the E87 which fulfils all these attributes. The front part is enhanced by an exciting new front spoiler design in a brand-new look which is attached to the standard front skirt and ensures better downforce.
The harmonious link between the front and rear is created by the AC Schnitzer side skirts and rear roof spoiler which set totally new accents. The design is completed by the new AC Schnitzer rear skirt spoiler which not only harmoniously integrates the sports silencer into the rear but also gives the vehicle a more powerful appearance. A Chromeline set is available as an option which sets highlights on the front spoiler and side skirts.
Exclusivity also predominates in the cockpit: as well as the carbon interior trim in silver or anthracite, and the ergonomically shaped sports airbag steering wheels, the final touch is given by the aluminium accessories e.g. for the controller of the BMW-specific "i-Drive" system, the pedal set and footrests, different gear knobs or handbrake handles. Last but not least, velours footmats are available with the AC Schnitzer Logo.
